
Moldova this year chose Pasha Parfeni as its 2023 representative. Pavel Parfeni, better known professionally as Pasha Parfeny, was born on May 30, 1986, in Orhei, Moldova.
He grew up sounded by music, with both his parents being musicians. He studied at the State Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts. In 2008 he joined the Sunstroke Project as their lead singer and left them in 2009.
In the past, he has entered the national final of his country a number of times, both as a composer and as a singer. He is mostly known for his 2012 entry which won the event and represented his country in Baku. His entry, “Lăutar”, manage to place 11th in the final.
Earlier this year, he entered the Moldovan national final, “Etapa Națională”, with the song “Soarele și luna”, which means “The sun and the moon”, and won. The entry was composed by Pavel Parfeni, Andrei Vulpe and Iuliana Parfeni.
Moldova will perform 10th in the first semifinal!
