The Netherlands this year chose Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper as its Eurovision representatives.

Michaja Nicolaï was born on March 7, 1996, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is a Dutch singer and songwriter, professionally known as Mia Nicolai.

In 2018, she released her debut single, which was a cover. Soon more singles followed.

Dion Cooper was born on November 29, 1993, in the Hague, the Netherlands. He is a singer and songwriter known by his stage name Dion Cooper.

From a young age, he started learning the guitar and soon began composing his own songs. In 2015, he competed in The Voice of Holland, where he reached the Battles round. In 2020, he released his debut single and in 2021 he was the opening act of Duncan Laurence’s tour.

The duo was internally selected to represent their country at Eurovision. Their entry, “Burning Daylight”, was composed by Duncan Laurence (the Netherlands 2019), Jordan Garfield, Mia Nicolai, Dion Cooper and Loek van der Grinten and has already entered the Dutch charts.

The Netherlands will perform 14th in the first semifinal!
