Slovenia this year chose Joker Out as its representatives. Joker Out is a 5-member band that was formed in 2016 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The band consists of 5 members: Bojan Cvjetićanin (lead vocals), Kris Guštin (guitar), Jan Peteh (guitar), Jure Maček (drums) and Nace Jordan (bass). The band was formed while the members were attending school in Celje.

In 2016, the group released its first single, whilst the following year, it won a student musical competition. Their debut album was going to be released in 2020, but was postoned until 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022, their second album was released.

In late 2022, the group was internally selected to represent Slovenia at Eurovision. Their song “Carpe Diem”, which means “Seize the Day”, was released a couple o fmonths later.

The entry was composed by Bojan Cvjetićanin, Jan Peteh, Jure Maček, Kris Guštin, Nace Jordan and Žarko Pak.

Slovenia will perform 10th in the second semifinal.
