This year, France selected La Zarra as its representative. Fatima Zahra Hafdi, is better known professionally as La Zarra, was born on August 25, 1987, in Canada to French speaking parents of Moroccan descent.

She rose to fame, after she collaborated with rapper Niro in 2016. In 2020, she released her first solo single and in late 2021 she released her debut album.

Earlier this year, she was internally selected to represent France to Eurovision, thus becoming the second Canadian to represent the country at the contest. Her entry, “Évidemment”, was composed by Banx & Ranx, Benny Adam and La Zarra.

The song is prequalified to the final, but the French fans will also be able to vote during the first semi-final!

What do you think about the song? Will France achieve its first victory since 1977? Write your thoughts in the comments below!
