Noa was born on the 23rd of June 1969, in Tel Aviv, Israel. She is known in Israel as Achinoam Nini. At the age of two, she moved with her family in New York and returned to Israel when she was sixteen. In her career, she had released many songs, with several awards and recognition. Mira Anwar ‘Awad is an Arab-Israeli singer, songwriter and actress. Her father is Israeli and her mother Bulgarian. She grew up in Tel Aviv. She was born on the 11th of June 1975 in Galilee. Both artists are politically active and both pro-Palestinian.
Their Eurovision song was composed by Noa, Mira Awad and Gil Dor.

The quote is in Arab. The whole song is a combination of three languages, English, Hebrew and Arab, making it the first song with Arab lyrics from Israel.
