Melodi Grand Prix starts tonight!
The first semifinal of the Norwegian national final will take place tonight, January 13, at 19:50 CET. The first six entries will try to win one of the three tickets of the national final!
How it works
Melodi Grand Prix is the Norwegian national final for Eurovision. The show consists of three semifinals with 6 participants on each. The three artists with the most points at the end of each semifinal will advance to the next phase of the show. There are no prequalified entries.
1. Mathilde SPZ ft. Chris Archer & Slam Dunk – «Woman Show»

Mathilde Espeseth a.k.a. Mathilde SPZ is a singer and songwriter, that has been composing music since the age of 9. Generally, she works solo, but on the MGP stage she will collaborate with Chris Archer and Slam Dunk.
2. Fredrik Halland – «Stranded»
Fredrik Halland is a singer and songwriter. At a young age, he travelled to the USA and studied music. It is noteworthy that there he toured with American singer Colbie Caillat. He works in a studio as a guitarist and producer. That is his first participation in the national final.
3. Myra – «Heart on fire»
Myra is a singer and songwriter from Bergen, Norway. Lately, she has established herself in the Norwegian music scene with a couple of singles. Her song tonight is entitled “Heart on Fire”.
4. Gothminister – «We Come Alive»
Gothminister is the stage of Bjørn Alexander Brem. The artist works as a lawyer, but as a performer he doesn’t really resemble his day-time job. We await for a memorable performance tonight.
5. Ingrid Jasmin – «Eya»
Ingrid Jasmin grew up in Norway, but has Latin America roots. Her sound mixes flamenco and Norwegian music. Her debut album “Luna” was released in 2022.
6. Margaret Berger – «Oblivion»
Margaret Berger is familiar with both MGP and Eurovision. She competed in Melodi Grand Prix in 2013, with her song “I Feed You My Love”. The song won the national final and the artist represented the country in ESC. At Eurovision the song placed 4th. Now, Margaret is back!
