This year Australia selected Electric Fields to represent it at Eurovision. Electric Fields is a duo that was formed in 2015 by Michael Ross and Zaachariaha Fielding.
The duo combines modern electric music with Aboriginal sounds, performing in 3 languages; in Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara and English. In 2016, they released their debut EP. In late 2018, they were announced as one of the ten acts that were going to compete in the Australian national final. Their entry didn’t win despite being a fan-favourite. The following year, they were invited by the public broadcaster to compete again in the national final, but they decline the offer. In 2020, they collaborated with KEiiNO and released their single “Would I Lie”.
Earlier this year, the duo were internally selected by the Australian broadcaster for Eurovision.
Their entry, “One Milkali (One Blood)”, is written and composed by Michael Ross and Zaachariaha Fielding.
The song will perform 13th in the first semifinal!
