This year, Malta is represented by Michela. Michela was born on 25th of January 2001 in Gozo, Malta. Her full name is Michela Pace.

She came into the public attention by competing in the first ever Maltese version of the X-Factor. The young artist took part and won the music reality. Her win gave her the opportunity to be the representative of the Mediterranean nation in this year’s contest. This first place on the show gave her also a contract with Sony Music Italy.

Michela’s voice is memorable and powerful, although she just turned eighteen. She likes to sing different kind of songs, from pop to soul. Before her X-Factor participation, she competed in a Music Talent League in Lithuania and won it. She has also been a finalist in the Baltic Voices.

Michela’s entry is entitled “Chameleon” and is a pure pop song, that will make us dance through it from the very first second. The song is composed by an international team (Joacim Persson, Paula Winger, Borislav Milanov and Johan Alkenäs).

Malta performs 11th in the second semifinal.
