We continue the National Final Reminder with something from 2014. Today, we will travel to Israel.

Israel back in 2014 decided its representative through an internal selection and then its song through a national final. Mei Finegold performed three songs on the live selection show.

The song “Proud” was one of the three songs and the only that was composed by Mei Finegold herself. It’s obvious that the song has a more rock vibe. The public didn’t like the song and got only 5% of the votes.

Mei Finegold was born in 16th of December 1982, as Meital Slominsky. He gained fame through her participation in the Israeli version of Idol, in 2009, where she finished third. She grew up in Rishon LeZion, where she is still living. From a young age, she took singing classes. Her main genres of singing are soft and alternative rock and pop.
