
Anxhela Peristeri was born on March 24, 1986, in Korçë, Albania. She graduated from high school in Albania and then moved with her family to Greece. In 2001, she competed in Festivali i Këngës and in 2004 she released her debut album. While she was in Greece, she competed in the Greek version of The X Factor. In 2014, she returned to Albania and competed in the Albanian version of Four Face Sound Familiar, where she won. In 2016, she competed in the Albanian music festival Kënga Magjike and placed second. One year later, she competed again and won.
In 2019, she entered once again Kënga Magjike and placed third. In 2020, she was announced as one of this year’s participants of Festivali i Këngës – the Albanian national selection. Her song “Karma” won the festival and therefore she gained the right to represent her country at Eurovision.
Albania is going to compete in the second half of the second semifinal.
