We continue the National Final Reminder of 2021 with something from Estonia.

Estonia selected its representative through Eesti Laul 2021.

The song “Magus melanhoolia” was Jüri Pootsmann entry to the music festival. At the final, the song placed 3rd behind Uku Suviste and Sissi. The song is composed by Jüri Pootsmann, Joonas Mattias Sarapuu, Jana Hallas and Aleksi Liski.

Jüri Pootsmann

Jüri Pootsmann was born on July 1, 1994, in Raikküla, Estonia. He is well-known for competing and winning the sixth season of the Estonian version of Pop Idol. Jüri won the national selection Eesti Laul 2016 and therefore represented his country in Stockholm. His song “Play” got the worst result of the country until today, finishing last in his semi-final with 24 points. His first EP was released in 2015, whilst his debut album was released one year later. He is currently signed with Universal Music.
