Norway back in 1997 decided its representative through “Melodi Grand Prix 1997”. Eight entries competed in the final of the national selection.

The song “Lys” was one of those 8 entries performed by Manjari. The song is composed by Rune Lindstrøm and placed 2nd at the end of the show with 18%.

Manjari was born on December 16, 1978, in Bergen, Norway. Her real name is Trude Trefall. At the age of 18, she took part at the Norwegian national final and placed 2nd.
