JESC 2023: Participating Countries & Logo Revealed!

EBU announced the complete list of this year’s Junior Eurovision’s participants, along with slogan of the contest.

According to EBU, a total of 16 countries will participate in the upcoming Junior Eurovision event. The number is the same as last year; both Kazakhstan and Serbia withdrew, but Germany returned to the contest. In addition, Estonia will debut in the contest! (I didn’t see that coming)

As the official site of JESC notes, that will be the first contest, where all the Big-5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom) of ESC take part in.

The participating countries are:

Albania 🇦🇱Malta 🇲🇹
Armenia 🇦🇲Netherlands 🇳🇱
Estonia 🇪🇪North Macedonia 🇲🇰
France 🇫🇷Poland 🇵🇱
Georgia 🇬🇪Portugal 🇵🇹
Germany 🇩🇪Spain 🇪🇸
Ireland 🇮🇪Ukraine 🇺🇦
Italy 🇮🇹United Kingdom 🇬🇧

The motto of the contest is”Heroes”!
