
ERR, the Estonian public television, revealed the first 15 entries of the upcoming edition of Eesti Laul.
A total of 215 songs were received (2 less than last year) and a jury selected the 20 songs that will appear on the show. This year, Eesti Laul will consist of one semifinal and a final. The semifinal will take place on January 20, whilst the final on February 17.
The 15 participants are:
- OLLIE – “My Friend”
- Sofia Rubina – “Be Good”
- Ewert and the Two Dragons – “Hold Me Now”
- Multikas, Ewert Sundja – “Oblivion”
- Anet Vaikmaa – “Serotoniin”
- 5MIINUST x Puuluup – “(nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi”
- YONNA – “I Don’t Know About You”
- Silver Jusilo – “Lately”
- INGA – “No Dog On a Leash”
- Peter Põder – “Korra veel”
- Antsud – “Vetevaim”
- Cecilia – “FOMO”
- Traffic – “Wunderbar”
- Ingmar – “Dreaming”
- Laura – “Here’s Where I Draw the Line”
Among the announced entries we can notice some familiar artists. The returning artists to the national final are OLLIE (2023), INGA (2020), Peter Põder (2022), Traffic (2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2020, 2022) and Laura (2005, 2007, 2009, 2016, 2017, 2020), who also represented Estonia two times at Eurovision in 2005, as part of the group Moonwalk, and in 2017, along with Koit Toome. Laura has also try to represent Finland at Eurovision in 2021. Another Eurovision artist is Ivo Etti, part of the band Ewert and the Two Dragons. The artist represented Estonia in 2003 as part of the group Ruffus.
Among the composers is Stig Rästa (Estonia 2015).
The last 5 artists, those who topped the selection jury, will be announced tomorrow!
