Malta this year chose Sarah Bonnici as its 2024 representative. Sarah Bonnici was born on May 18, 1998, on Gozo, Malta.

As a child she showed her interest in music. She competed in a variety of musical competitions for kids, including the Maltese national final for Eurovision twice in 2009 and 2010. Despite not winning, she was a backing-vocalist of the Maltese entry in JESC in 2010.

In 2018, she competed in the Maltese version of The X-Factor. She has tried two times to achieve her Eurovision dream as an adult. In 2022, she competed in the Maltese national final with a song written by Aidan. Earlier this year, she returned to the show. Her entry won the jury vote and came 2nd in the televoting. Eventually, she won, thus gaining the right to represent her country at Eurovision.

Her debut single was released in 2015, but her first song to enter the Maltese charts is her ESC song.

Her entry, “Dance (Our Own Party)”, was composed by John Emil Johansson, Kevin Lee, Sebastian Pritchard-James, Leire Gotxi Angel, Matthew James Borg, Michael Joe Cini, Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Sarah Bonnici and Ale Zabala.

Malta will open the second semifinal!
