This year Czechia chose Aiko as its Eurovision representative. Alena Shirmanova-Kostebelova, known professionally as Aiko, was born on December 26, 1999, in Moscow, Russia, but she was raised in Czechia.

She began her career in 2015, by competing in a Czechia talent show. After her participation, she moved to the United Kingdom in order to pursue a musical career. In 2018, she released her debut album, followed by her second one in 2020. Her latest album was released in 2023.

It is noteworthy that Aiko is the first Czech artist to be featured in Times Square and the first one in the country to be selected for Spotify Equal campaign.

In late 2023, she competed in the Czech national final for Eurovision, with the song “Pedestal”, where she won.

The country will perform 5th in the second semifinal!
