Latvia this year chose Dons as its 2024 representative. Dons was born on April 10, 1984 in Brocēni, Latvia. He is a singer and songwriter, also known as Art Green, Art Singer. His real name is Artūrs Šingirejs.

His career began in 2003, when he competed in a Latvian music show, where he won. His first album was released in 2004 and was a collaboration with fellow contest Lily. The album became a success in his country. In 2006, he released his first solo album.

Later he moved to England and Los Angeles and got many proposals to join rock bands. In 2008, he released his first Latvian album, which became a hit in Latvia. In 2013, he released another album, followed by three more in 2014, in 2015 and in 2016 respectively. In 2018, he released another album, which entered the Latvian charts, while his most recent one was released in 2020.

His first attempt to represent his country at Eurovision was in 2010. He competed in the national final, placing in the 2nd place. In 2014, he tried again, once again reaching the 2nd place. In 2015 and 2017, he was a judge at the national final. Earlier this year, he competed again, this time winning with his song “Hollow”.
