There are a number of songs that was selected to represent some countries in the contest, but for a variety of reasons the songs never made it to the Eurovision stage. In this series of posts we are going to remind you some of these songs.

France 1974

France in 1974 original selected Dani and her song “La vie à 25 ans”. The week of the contest, former French president Georges Pompidou died. The French broadcaster ORTF decided to withdrew the entry in order to pay respect to the former president. Therefore, the entry was never performed on stage.
