We are almost 2 months after Eurovision’s Grand Final. In this series of posts, we are going to travel through time and remind you some of this year’s best moments. All the events of Eurovision since the first artist announcement in late November until the Netherlands win in May.

Our second trip will be to the Saturday when Italy chose its representative. Italy, use Sanremo Music Festival 2019 as a national final. Mahmood and his song “Soldi”, which means Money.

His song was composed by CharlieCharles, Dario “Dardust” Faini and Alessandro Mahmoud. Mahmood was known to the public, through his participation in the Italian edition of The X-Factor.

Now in the aftermath of the contest, we know that Mahmood was voted by both the juries and the public. His performance placed him 2nd in the grand final, behind bookmaker’s favourite Duncan Laurence.
