After many weeks of speculations, it’s time to learn who will participate in the next edition of Melodifestivalen. The artists will be announced on a period of three days. Today, the first nine acts will be revealed. From 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (CET), every hour an artist will be announced.

The 2021 Participants:

Danny Saucedo

Danny Saucedo returns to the competition after 8 years. In the past he competed in the 2011 and 2012 edition of the national final, both times placing 2nd. His entry will be “Dandi Dansa” and is composed by Danny Saucedo and Karl-Johan Råsmark.

Lovad

Lovad is making her debut at the national final with the song “Allting är precis likadant”, which means “Everything is exactly the same”. The entry is composed by Mattias Andréasson, Alexander Nivek, Lova Drevstam and Albin Johnsén.

Kadiatou

Kadiatou is making her debut at the national final with the song “One Touch”. The entry is composed by Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt and Anderz Wrethov.

Mustasch

Mustasch will sing the song “Contagious”. The entry is composed by Ralf Gyllenhammar and David Johannesson.

Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos

Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos, the two established artists will take part with the song “Rena rama ding dong”. The entry is composed by Göran Sparrdahl, Kalle Rydberg and Ari Lehtonen.

Emil Assergård

Emil Assergård will take part with the song “Om allting skiter sig”, which means “If everything sucks”. The entry is composed by Emil Assergård, Jimmy Jansson, Jimmy ”Joker” Thörnfeldt, Anderz Wrethov and Johanna Wrethov.

Tess Merkel

Tess Merkel the Alcazar member will return to the contest with the song “Good Life”. The entry is composed by Tony Malm, Tess Merkel, Palle Hammarlund and Mats Tärnfors.

Paul Rey

Paul Rey is returning to the contest with the song “The Missing Piece”. The song is composed by Fredrik Sonefors, Laurell Barker and Paul Rey.

Arvingarna

Arvingarna will return to the national final with the song “Tänker inte alls gå hem”, which means “Not going to go home at all”. The song is composed by Stefan Brunzell, Nanne Grönvall, Thomas G:son and Bobby Ljunggren.
