The British broadcaster, BBC, announced the artist that will represent the country in 2020’s contest.

It was announced that James Newman will represent the country to the upcoming Eurovision event!

James Newman is an established songwriter. He has composed songs for artist like Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Zyan and Kesha. He is also the composer of Ireland’s 2017 entry Dying To Trying. He is the brother of the pop singer John Newman.

His song “My Last Breath” was composed by Iain James (Azerbaijan 2011),  Adam Argyle, Ed Drewett and James Newman.

United Kingdom In ESC 2019

Last year, the country was represented by Michael Rice. Both the artist and the song were selected through a national final. His song “Bigger Than Us” placed 26th (Last) in the final with 11 points.
