
Austria this year chose Teya & Salena as its representatives.
Teodora Špirić, or better known professionally Teya, was born on April 12, 2000, in Vienna, Austria. She is a singer and songwriter of Serbian descent.
She released her debut single in 2018. Her Eurovision dream began in a couple of years ago, when she applied to represent Austria at Eurovision in 2020. Her song was shortlisted, but wasn’t selected, thus she submitted the song in the Serbian national final with Serbian lyrics. Her entry “Sudnji dan” placed 10th in the final.
Selina-Maria Edbauer, or simply Salena, was born on March 11, 1998, in Styria, Austria. She is known for participating in the 2017 edition of the German version of The Voice, where she reach the duel rounds. In 2019, she submitted a song in order to represent Austria at Eurovision, but she wasn’t selected. The same year, she released her debut single as a lead artist.
Both Teya & Salena competed in the Austrian music show “Starmania” in 2021.
The two artists were internally selected to represent Austria at Eurovision with the song “Who The Hell Is Edgar?”. The song was composed by Teodora Špirić, Selina-Maria Edbauer, Ronald Janeček and Pele Loriano.
Austria will perform 13th in the second semifinal!
