
Norway this year chose Ulrikke as its 2020 representative. Ulrikke was born on 13 July 1995, in Sarpsborg, Norway. Her full name is Ulrikke Brandstorp.
Her first public appearance was in 2013 she auditioned for the Norwegian edition of the Idol. In 2015, she participated in her country’s The Voice and in 2018 in Stjernekamp. Her first attempt to represent Norway to Eurovision was in 2017 with the song “Places”, which placed fourth in the final.
This year she was announced as one of the prequalified entries of MGP’s final. She eventually won with a very close margin. Her song “Attention” was composed by Christian Ingebrigtsen, Kjetil Mørland and Ulrikke Brandstorp. NRK has invited Ulrikke to participate as a prequalified to the next edition of MGP, but she has declined the offer.
Norway was going to compete in the second half of the first semifinal.
